Hey, y'all! 

My name is Kim (aka PokeberryInk) and I'm currently in the early training phase of my apprenticeship! I'm a North Carolina native, originally from Oxford, before going to college in Portland, Oregon. It is sooo good to be back home! 

I have a background in history, science, and education, but I've been drawing since 2004. It started with manga/anime before being given a multitude of challenges to work with by a very supportive band director. I did everything from band t-shirts, trashbag silhouettes, and felt banners that had to be readable from across a football field. 

After high school, I was a commission artist for every idea imaginable. I did fan art and logos, album covers and local radio illustrations, visual novels, and everything in between. 

I began my tattoo journey earlier this year after realizing that art is what I am best at and was fortunate to find Inkognito Studio. 

I'm studying to specialize in Traditional American style given the illustrative aspects from bold colors and lines, and I'm hoping to keep a dash of whimsy. My favorite subjects are animals, plants, pin-ups, Pokémon, geek culture, and all things North Carolina! 

I work mostly with digital, watercolor, alcohol markers, and ink. 

More about me: My favorite Pokémon is Jolteon, favorite movie is Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, favorite DnD build is Halfling Rogue, and the best horror movie ever is Alien (and nobody can tell me otherwise!) I garden native NC plants and am the loyal servant to two cats, a Pomeranian, a German Shepherd, and an adorable husky demon.
